This is an English translation provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Italian text is the reference version, and Italian law governs as stated in section 12.
1. Who we are
Showlane is software published by Alessandro Orlando, VAT no. IT03700130234, based at Via dello sport 10, Albaredo d'Adige, 37041 Verona, Italy (the "Publisher"). Contact: support@showlaneplayout.com.
2. What this license grants
By downloading, installing or using Showlane you accept these terms. The Publisher grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Showlane on one Mac that you own or use, for the professional or personal purposes the app is built for (playing, playing out and streaming video content).
The software is licensed, not sold: the Publisher keeps all rights not expressly granted.
3. Free trial
On first launch, Showlane runs as a free trial for 7 days, with every feature. After the trial you can still open the app and prepare and save shows, but starting playback, streaming and external output requires a license. Anything already on air is never interrupted.
4. License type and duration
The license is perpetual: it never expires and includes all future updates to the software, at no extra cost. It covers one Mac; using Showlane on more than one Mac requires a license for each.
5. License key
The key is personal. You may not publish, share or resell it, or use it on more than one Mac. The Publisher may refuse support or decline to issue new keys in case of non-compliant use.
6. What you may not do
Except where the law does not allow this to be restricted, you may not:
- copy, modify, decompile or try to extract the software's source code;
- remove or bypass the license check;
- resell, rent out or sublicense the software or the key;
- use Showlane to broadcast unlawful content, or content you do not hold the rights to.
7. Your content and third-party rights
The videos, images, sounds and broadcasts you use with Showlane remain yours. You alone are responsible for having the rights to play and broadcast them (for example copyright, related rights and music licensing societies' fees) and for following the rules of the platforms you stream to.
8. Third-party software
Showlane includes or uses third-party components (including FFmpeg, libsrt and OpenSSL), each under its own license, listed in the Third Party Notices file inside the app.
9. No warranty and limitation of liability
Showlane is provided "as is". The Publisher develops it with care, but does not guarantee that the software is error-free or runs without interruption. Before using it for an important event or broadcast, test it under real conditions.
To the extent the law allows, the Publisher is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data arising from use or inability to use the software; total liability never exceeds what you paid for the license. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, or a consumer's non-waivable rights.
10. Updates and support
The Publisher may release updates. Support requests go to support@showlaneplayout.com; it is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis, with no guaranteed response time.
11. Termination
If you breach these terms, the license ends and you must stop using Showlane. You can uninstall it at any time.
12. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by Italian law. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Verona, except for the non-waivable venue rights of a consumer resident in the European Union.
13. Changes
The Publisher may update these terms for new versions of the software; continued use after new terms are published means you accept them. Licenses already purchased remain governed by the terms in force at purchase, if more favorable.
